Deep within India of the tribal belts, lies a sea of possibility waiting to be explored. Through generations, these villages have been simplicity personified —including endurance and their roots in the land. However, they have largely sat at the fringes of large-scale economic development.
At Solex Energy Limited we believe the solution comes in merging humanity to technology. It has been one of the most impactful years in our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) vision of how we can empower the tribal youth through solar.
PM Narendra Modi has time and again stated that India can’t progress unless the tribals progress. The call for action is equally clear too — better education, healthcare, skill development and employment; Miranda says that empowerment is just another name for opportunity.
This vision fits into Solex Energy’s mission in a very seamless way. And in doing so, we envision a future where not only are these communities beneficiaries of development but also become active partners in the Indian growth story by giving the tribal youth an opportunity to Learn. Earn. Grow.
Solar Changes Lives — From Sunlight to Livelihoods
When we talk about clean energy, it’s often in terms of megawatts and panels. But at Solex, we measure our impact in people empowered, skills developed, and dreams realized.
Our Tribal Empowerment Programs include:
- Skill Development: Training tribal youth in state-of-the-art solar manufacturing.
- Employment Opportunities: Providing meaningful jobs in our modern facilities.
- Holistic Support: Ensuring financial stability, healthcare, and a sense of dignity.
- Community Transformation: Building confidence and independence that uplifts families and entire communities.
Ramesh a 22-year-old tribal youth from Dahod, is one such story. He had never been exposed to modern industries before, and he felt a sense of dread as he entered our training program. Today, he is not only working at our factory but also helping his siblings get an education. “Holding his head high, he spoke up and said I’m more than just the job, but an opportunity to dream.
Social Multiplier of Clean Energy
More than being a sustainable alternative for solar energy is an equalizer. When we disperse economic activities closer to tribal areas, the migration will decrease, families could stay together and vibrant life can be energised in local or low-income economies as well.
Each job created at Solex represents movement towards growth that is inclusive—a compelling example of profits threaded with purpose.
A Future Bright with Possibilities
On Tribal Day, let us pledge to address the issue of electrification and forge a (pardon me for sounding clichéd) brighter tomorrow where energy not just lights up homes, but lives too.
By embedding ESG principles into our business model, we are delivering not just solar power, but hope and dignity as well as opportunity from the ground up.
Well, that is just the start.
From Policy to People
The idea is simple: A better community starts within you.
We are finding solutions to it in each tribe that we train, every family that we support, and in every village we touch with the dream of a future where development is not a privilege but a collective truth for all.
Because, at Solex, we don’t just make panels. We build people!
